The game remained scoreless until the 9:15 mark of the second period when Victor Hedman scored the games first goal. It was Hedmans fifth goal of the season with assists to Nate Thompson (3) and Tyler Johnson (7).

Lindback_PHIL_NOVAt the 10:55 mark the Lightnings’ Alex Killorn was called for hooking Vincent Lecavalier and went off the ice for 2-minutes.   At the 12:16 mark Ondrej Palat gave the Lightning a 2-0 lead leading the charge and delivering a shorthanded goal. It was Palat’s fourth goal on the year with assist to Victor Hedman (9) and Andrej Sustr (6).

Shots On Goal:

The Lightning outshot the Flyers 11 to 5 in the second period and lead overall 25-12.

Special Teams:

The Lightnings penalty kill unit delivered the games second goal at the 12:16 mark thanks to Ondrej Palat.

The Lightning power play unit slumped through another opportunity failing to socre for the 34th time in 37 opportunities.
