Ryan Malone Out Against Toronto

Tampa Bay Lighting forward Ryan Malone will not play in the team’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs Wednesday, April 24. Malone missed practice Tuesday, April 23, while dealing with an illness. Malone did take part in the morning skate Tuesday. Malone has seen his ice time gradually decrease since returning from a shoulder injury April 9.

Ben Bishop will get the start in goal for the Lightning. This is the fourth time Bishop has faced the Maple Leafs this season. In previous starts against Toronto, Bishop has compiled a 1-3-0 record with a 3.56 goals against average, and an .856 save percentage.

It is likely that Anders Lindback will get the start in goal Thursday in Boston against the Bruins.
