Tampa Bay Lightning & Detroit Red Wings Scoreless At First Intermission

The Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wings skated to a scoreless first period.

Each team had a shot hit the post. Teddy Purcell for the Lightning and Pavel Datsyuk for the Red Wings.

The Red Wings John Franzen did get a puck past Lighting goalie Ben Bishop but the goal came after the whistle halted play.

Shots On Goal:

The Lightning outshot the Red Wings 10 to 6.

Special Teams:

There were no penalties in the first period.


I am a fan of all sports but am most passionate about baseball. From the fanatical to analytical, nothing about the game escapes me.
