Ben Bishop

The Tampa Bay Lightning have locked up Ben Bishop to a new deal per the team.  The deal will keep the Vezina finalist with the Lightning organization at least until the 2016-2017 season. Bishop finished the season with a 37-14-7 record, .924 save percentage and  2.24 GAA. He finished third in the Vezina trophy voting and was a big part of why the Lightning made the playoffs last year, although he didn’t start in the postseason due to a dislocated elbow. This means that GM Steve Yzerman will have some stable goaltending at least for the next two years. Complete details of the deal have yet to be released but word is that it’s two years at $5.95 million
