Special Teams:

The Lightning power play unit went back on the ice at the 2:49 mark of the 2nd period when Matt Hendricks was sent off for 2-minutes for holding but they were unable to score on the Predators penalty kill unit.

The Lightning were called for too many men on the ice with 0:13 seconds left on the power play and then the penalty unit came on the ice for the third time.  The Lightning penalty kill unit was not charged with allowing a goal but Craig Smith scored exactly two minutes into the power play.

The Lightning penalty kill unit was on the ice for the fourth time when Radko Gudas was sent off at the 11:27 mark for roughing. Craig Smith scored his second goal of the period at the 13:02 mark.

The Lighting power play went back to work at the 14:36 mark when Viktor Stalberg was sent off for tripping. After an early break away opportunity for the Predators the Lightning spent much of the remainder of the penalty time in the Predators zone but were unable to score.

I am a fan of all sports but am most passionate about baseball. From the fanatical to analytical, nothing about the game escapes me. Being born and raised in Northeast Ohio I'm very familiar with the heartache and pain that sports can bring and hope that I bring some understanding of the other side to my coverage. I will focus mostly on baseball but also cover the Tampa Bay Lightning, one of the most electric franchises in all of sports. Always willing to converse about any sport and have only one rule and that is be respectful at all times.
