TAMPA BAY – As a way to honor teachers and principals who are making a difference in the lives of local students, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Chase are continuing to partner during the playoffs with Tampa Bay area Public Schools in their Educators of the Month Program. The program recognizes outstanding educators during in-game ceremonies starting with their first home playoff game on Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens.
For each Lightning home playoff game the program will honor mentors, teachers and principals from different counties, beginning Wednesday with Hillsborough County. The 15 honorees for each home game will receive two Chase Club tickets, a parking pass, an engraved crystal hockey puck and be recognized during the game.
The program is part of the multi-year community partnership between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Chase. Together, the organizations are working on programs and projects focused on education and youth development in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
