Lightning 3-On-3 Tournament Starts Tuesday


Semi-Finals and Finals To Be Streamed LIVE on


TAMPA BAY – The annual Tampa Bay Lightning Development Camp 3-on-3 Tournament will kick off tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Brandon Ice Sports Forum.  The tournament will continue on Wednesday, culminating with the championship game and trophy presentation.  For the first time in Lightning history, both the semi-finals and the finals will be streamed LIVE on

There will be six teams in the tournament, four of which include four players and two that have five.  Last year’s champion, Team Hedman, returns defensemen Slater Koekkoek (1st round pick in 2012) and Nikita Nesterov (5th round pick in 2011), as well as forward Cedric Paquette (4th round pick in 2012).  Koekkoek may be held out due to shoulder surgery.  The third overall pick in the 2013 draft, Jonathan Drouin will be making his debut in the tournament and will be representing Team Brewer.

For the first time in team history, both semi-final games, as well as the championship game, will be streamed LIVE on  Lightning Radio play-by-play announcer Dave Mishkin will provide the play-by-play.   The stream will offer both an upper-level camera as well as another one at ice level.
