Lightning star Marty St. Louis will again be among the league’s best and brightest when the hardware is handed out. The 2004 league MVP captured his second Art Ross Trophy after leading the league with 60 points this season and is a finalist for the Lady Byng and Ted Lindsay awards.
The Byng recognizes gentlemanly play, and the Lindsay honors the players’ selection for MVP.
Because the NHL lockout shortened the season to 48 games and pushed back the start of the postseason, the league will not hold its annual awards show in Las Vegas. Instead, it will announce the winners during television shows today and Saturday.
