Wild’s Brodin Suffered Broken Cheekbone

Jonas_Brodin_Wild_2013On Tuesday night Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin was taken to the hospital for x-rays after taking a puck to the face in a game against the Nashville Predators.

I’m sure Brodin would disagree this morning but with it being a broken cheekbone, he could return relatively soon.

He is out indefinitely and a timetable will be announced once it’s determined. As of now, the Wild says this is relatively good news because there was originally a concern he had a broken jaw. Typically, players can play through such an injury with a cage, but that can’t be determined until once the swelling goes down.
