Scott Hartnell Out Indefinitely With Foot Injury

Scott Hartnell is the latest Flyer to receive bad news in what’s beginning to feel like an abbreviated-season curse. He is out indefinitely with a left foot injury, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.

Hartnell was hit by a shot from the point from defenseman Kimmo Timonen in the third period of Tuesday’s 3-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils in Newark.

“We will know more on this within a day or two as we await results of tests,” Holmgren said in a statement

The Flyers’ leading goal-scorer last season, Hartnell was absent from practice Wednesday.
