Representatives from the National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players’ Association met with federal mediators Wednesday at an undisclosed location in an attempt to help the two sides facilitate negotiations toward a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Both the League and the Union confirmed that the discussions are expected to continue Thursday.
Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services Deputy Director Scot L. Beckenbaugh and Director of Mediation Services John Sweeney served as the mediators between the NHL and NHLPA on Wednesday. Both were appointed by FMCS Director George H. Cohen.
