On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Kings will pop in to the White House to be honored by the President of the United States.
So far, none of the Kings have sent their regrets.
The Associated Press reports that the Stanley Cup champs will first meet with President Barack Obama, who will also take the time to congratulate another title-winning team from L.A., the MLS champion Galaxy.
The players will then move to the South Lawn, where they’ll partake in an exercise clinic for kids — all part of first lady Michelle Obama’s effort to reduce childhood obesity.
The Kings play Monday in Chicago and Thursday in St. Louis, making Tuesday as good a time as any to be feted by President Obama.
