Capitals Give Dmitry Orlov Two-Year Extension


Defenseman Dmitry Orlov signed a $4 million, two-year contract extension with the Washington Capitals.

Orlov, 22, will make $1.75 million next season, and $2.25 million in 2015-16.

He was sent to the American Hockey League out of training camp but has played 38 games since his Nov. 30 call-up, recording three goals, six assists and 19 penalty minutes.
