Bruins Defeat Rangers in OT

The Boston Bruins finally won it when Marchand, Boston’s top goal-scorer with 18 during the regular season, tipped Patrice Bergeron’s centering pass past Henrik Lundqvist.

Brad Marchand scored with 4:20 left in overtime to give the Bruins a 3-2 victory over the Rangers on Thursday in Game 1 of their East semifinal.

Boston nearly won in regulation, but Johnny Boychuk’s shot from the point hit the left post with 0.1 seconds left. He also hit the left post from the slot 6:34 into overtime. That came soon after New York killed a penalty.
