Blackhawks’ Seabrook Has Been Through A Lot

Blackhawks_Brent_Seabrook_2013Brent Seabrook refers to his first couple of seasons with the Blackhawks as “the dark days.”

It was a time of sparsely attended games at the United Center and when victories were few and far between.

In the defenseman’s second career appearance in October 2005, a mere 11,823 were on hand during a season when the team averaged 12,727 per game. Fast-forward to Seabrook’s 601st contest Saturday night, when 21,563 were shoehorned into the arena for the Hawks’ 229th consecutive capacity crowd.

A lot has happened to the Hawks – and Seabrook – during those 600-plus games.
