Report: Ron Wilson Interviews With Panthers

The Florida Panthers are giving off an impression of “no big hurry” regarding their coaching search, but with the draft getting closer, business is starting to happen.

When GM Dale Tallon spoke of when talking about criteria in a new coach, one thing he has mentioned is experience. The past three head coaches include Peter Horachek, Peter DeBoer and Kevin Dineen. They all had no prior experience as an NHL head coach and Tallon would like that to change.

That said, Tallon has reportedly reached the stage of interviewing candidates and one of those candidates according to Chris Botta is former Maple Leafs coach, Ron Wilson:

Tallon was given permission to speak with Canadiens assistant Gerard Gallant for the job as well. He has some experience as a former Blue Jackets coach.
