The Florida Panthers have fired head coach Kevin Dineen and his assistants Craig Ramsey and Gord Murphy, according to a report by George Richards of the Miami Herald.

Peter Horachek will take over as interim coach, and will be assisted by John Madden and Brian Skrudland, Richards reported. Horachek has been coaching the Panthers’ American Hockey League affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage.

The Panthers have lost seven in a row following a 4-1 defeat Thursday by the Boston Bruins and are 3-9-4 this season, seventh in the Atlantic Division.
