Preseason Losses Don’t Matter To Goldson

Bucs_Dashon_Goldson_2013Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Dashon Goldson, in the midst of his seventh NFL training camp, has a message for Tampa Bay’s fan base.

Chill out.

The Bucs were outscored by a combined margin of 69-37 in dropping their first two preseason games against Baltimore and New England, respectively. Patriots QB Tom Brady conducted a first-quarter clinic Friday night, completing 11 of 12 pass attempts for 107 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown strike to new target Danny Amendola.

Goldson, a hard-hitting Pro Bowler signed from San Francisco as a free agent, didn’t sound overly concerned about Tampa Bay’s sluggish start.

“It’s going to be very exciting,” Goldson said. “We’ve got a lot of talent on this football team, a lot of talent. Once we get everybody rolling, it’s going to be electrifying out here.”
