The College Football Hall of Fame announced that 12 new inductees would be announced soon. Is former Florida State Seminole Derrick Brooks likely to make that list?
According to ESPN, Brooks was not originally on the list that they announced last week, but he recently had his number retired by his high school and by FSU. Soon, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will do the same when they induct him into their Ring of Honor.
This comes shortly after his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. So, what’s one more recognition?
The Pensacola, Florida native was ACC Player of the Year in 1993 and it was that same year that he helped lead the Seminoles to their first National Championship under coach Bobby Bowden.
Brooks is a historic player who continues to give back to his community. He deserves every bit of recognition that he receives for his exceptional career.
