DAVIE, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins will not begin filling out an injury report until Wednesday, but all indications from players and coaches are that No. 3 overall draft pick Dion Jordan (shoulder) is expected to play in Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Cleveland Browns.
“He got a good amount of reps in practice today, so we’re excited about that,” defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle said Monday. “At the end of the week, we’ll feel better to judge where he’s at. But he’s going to have a significant role in the game plan this week, I guarantee you that.”
Jordan, who missed the final three preseason games, sounded just as optimistic.
