Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill spoke to the media Thursday on what the team got out of today’s practice, how he feels about this team after going through OTAs, and what he’s seen out of Lamar Miller.
( On what the team got out of today’s practice) –“I definitely think we got a lot out of it. Today, with having the offense and defenses split, we really had to stress our communication. Guys aren’t used to playing together, being on the same page in all areas of the field. You saw red zone, you saw a lot of special teams, and so I think we did a good job as a team of just focusing in, staying on the same page, and making the best out of practice.”
(On how he feels about this team after going through OTAs) –“ I’m excited, I think we grew a lot over the spring starting with bringing the new guys in, and teaching them the offense and now really coming together as a team. I’m excited about where we’re at but I think we’re hungry, and I know we’re not there yet. We have a long way to go, and we’ll use the fall camp to our benefit and get better each day.”
(On what he’s seen out of Lamar Miller) –“What impresses me the most is that he’s picking up pass protections a lot better. He’s more in tune with the checks at the line of scrimmage and as a quarterback, you’ve got to have a back that can be able to adjust, be able to see things from the backfield and pick it up. We all know he can run the ball, he’s a running back it’s a natural ability for him. So now that he’s got that, I feel like he’s going to be a great player for us.”
