JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The scoreboards, which are expected to cost $63 million and be the largest in the world, should raise the city’s profile in regards to future host sites for college football playoffs.
The city and the Jaguars announced an agreement Wednesday in which the city will provide the other $43 million, with much of it coming from a 2 percent charge on area hotel guests.
Khan’s latest investment brings his total since agreeing to buy the team to $31 million. Khan spent $11 million on stadium upgrades that included new a locker room, training room and weight room.
