The Jaguars were awarded Stanzi and linebacker Kyle Knox off waivers Tuesday. The team waived running back De’Leon Eskridge and tight end Isaiah Stanback to make room on the 75-man roster.
Stanzi was a fifth-round pick out of Iowa in 2011. He spent two seasons on Kansas City’s active roster, but did not play in a regular-season game.
Knox spent the 2012 preseason with the Seahawks before he was waived during final cuts. He was on the practice squad for the final two weeks before signing a future contract in January.
The Jaguars also have Chad Henne, Mike Kafka and Matt Scott at quarterback.
