Jaguars Adding Quarterbacks For Competition

During an interview with’s Alex Marvez and Jim Miller on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said he wanted to add a quarterback, possibly plural, in the next few months.

Caldwell offered praise for the incumbents, but said he’s actively looking to add “at least one other quarterback into the fold, possibly two.”

As to how he’d address the vacancies, Caldwell mentioned “through the draft, college free agency, pro free agency or however we may get him.”

The Jaguars are picking second in the draft, and while the early reports weren’t encouraging — Chiefs GM John Dorsey said he wasn’t sure there was a quarterback worth a first-round grade — that won’t last.
