Gus Bradley Stressing Competition In Camp

Since Pete Carroll has taken over as head coach of the Seahawks, he has made competition for roster spots and starting jobs a constant part of life around the team.

His former defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is approaching things the same way in his head coaching debut. The Jaguars have their first training camp practice on Friday and Bradley wants every player on the team to be on edge about their spot on the team.

“We have a saying in our locker room,” Bradley said, via Hays Carlyon of the Florida Times-Union. “I preached it to our players. I believe the three most dangerous words in the NFL are, ‘I got it,’ and we stay away from those words. I want our players, our coaches and the whole organization to have the mindset that ‘we ain’t ever got it,’ and we’re going to compete in everything that we do.”
