Video: Tobias Harris Carries the Magic against Detroit

Magic Topple the Pistons 99-87

On Friday night the Magic cruised to victory over the Detroit Pistons as they led from start to finish in their 99-87 win. At one point in the 3rd, Detroit did pulled to within one, but the Magic dug deep and responded with a run of their own.

Tobias Harris led all scores with 22 points and Nik Vucevic continued his workmanlike performance in the paint, with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Ben Gordon chipped in 10 points off the bench in limited minutes, and will be a huge plus for the Magic to have someone who can score in large spurts coming off of their bench.

What stood out about Friday’s victory was the Magic’s sharp shooting from beyond the arc. The Magic shot nearly 50%, connecting on 9 of 20 3-pointers. Let’s hope that the Magic have saved some of their sharp-shooting for the regular season.

The Magic are in action again on Saturday against the 76ers up in Philadelphia.
