Zach Randolph Gets 2-Year Extension With Grizzlies
NBA NEWS: Zach Randolph
Zach Randolph has agreed to a two-year, $20 million extension with the Memphis Grizzlies.
"It's cool, man," Randolph told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "This is where I want to be."
ESPN reported last week that the team was trying to sign him before July 1 to keep him from become a free agent. That apparently worked out, as sources close to the deal say that he has reached a two-year $20 million deal.
Randolph averaged 17.4 points and 10.1 rebounds last season, helping his team to 50 wins. Randolph told ESPN that he wants to continue playing for the Grizzlies and establish a relationship with the franchise similar to that of Tim Duncan with the Spurs.
