Young, Lee named NBA Players Of the Week
The Philadelphia 76ers’ Thaddeus Young and the Golden State Warriors’ David Lee were named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, for games played Monday, Dec. 30, through Sunday, Jan. 5.
Both forwards helped their teams to an undefeated week. The 76ers went 3-0 and the Warriors finished the week 4-0.
Young averaged a conference-best 25.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and tied for the league lead with 3.67 steals. Lee recorded two double-double this past week and averaged 24.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

Jan. 1 @ Denver: Posted 17 points and 10 rebounds during a 114-102 win over the Nuggets.
Jan. 2 @ Sacramento: Tallied 28 points, seven rebounds, six steals and four assists during a 113-104 win over the Kings.
Jan. 4 @ Portland: Scored 30 points on 14-of-20 field goals, and added six rebounds and three steals as the 76ers closed the week with a 101-99 win over the Trail Blazers.
David Lee, Golden State Warriors
Dec. 31 @ Orlando: Tallied 22 points and nine rebounds in a 94-81 win over the Magic.
Jan. 2 @ Miami: Posted 32 points and 14 rebounds during a 123-114 win over the Heat.
Jan. 3 @ Atlanta: Scored 23 points and added eight rebounds and three assists in a 101-100 win over the Hawks.
Jan. 5 @ Washington: Collected 21 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in a 112-96 win over the Wizards.
Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week included Nets’ Deron Williams, Lakers’ Pau Gasol, Heat’s LeBron James, Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and Iman Shumpert, Thunder’s Kevin Durant, Suns’ Goran Dragic and Raptors’ Kyle Lowry.
