Yankees Reportedly Sign Carlos Beltran

The New York Yankees did not take long to fill some of the void left by the departure of Robinson Cano [1] reportedly agreeing to a 3-year/$45M deal with former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran [2].

Carlos  Beltran [3]Beltran spent the last two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and in 2013 appeared in 145 games (600 plate appearances) posting a slash line of .296/.339/.491 with 24 home runs and 84 RBI.

After battling injuries as a member of the New York Mets in 2009 and 2010 which limited him to 145 games he has appeared in 438 games over the past 3 seasons posting a slash line of .288/.356/.503 with 78 home runs and 265 runs batted in.
