Yankees Fans Ready To See A-Rod Go After Ban
Queens resident Edgar Rivera says baseball's highest-paid star should be banned for life, not just given the 211-game suspension announced Monday by Major League Baseball.
Eighteen players have been sanctioned for their relationships to a closed Florida anti-aging clinic accused of distributing banned performing-enhancing drugs. Rodriguez says he'll appeal his suspension.
Rivera says he feels cheated and blames MLB.
Jersey City, N.J., resident Luis Velazquez says he still loves Rodriguez and calls him a nice guy who made a mistake. But he says baseball players who love the game are "supposed to play it straight."
At the Yankees store in Manhattan, no Rodriguez jerseys had been sold as of late Monday afternoon.
