Rays manager Joe Maddon quipped he doesn’t know many players on the rebuilding Twins now that longtime star 1B Justin Morneau was traded to the Pirates, and C Joe Mauer is out battling concussionlike symptoms.

The Twins entered Thursday ranked next-to-last in the American League in both runs scored (565) and ERA (4.37).

The Rays swept a four-game series at the Trop in mid July, with the overall series tied 60-60. The Twins lead 34-27 in Minneapolis.
