Winston To Be Witness at Teammates' Court Hearing
To call Jameis Winston's life a whirlwind, is an understatement. One of the biggest, most pressing situations that Winston is dealing with is the repercussions from his rape allegations.
Now, Winston is expected to be a witness at an FSU code of conduct hearing for his teammates who were involved in the sexual assault allegations.
According to College Football Talk, Winston is expected to testify for Chris Casher and Ronald Darby. Both players are his roommates and they claimed to see Winston having sex with the woman accusing him, but they say that it was consensual. Casher even admits to video taping it with his phone, and later deleting it.
It was decided in December of last year that there was not enough evidence to prove that Winston raped the alleged victim. Therefore, no charges were filed against him. The case has since been torn apart by many who believe that William Meggs, the state's attorney in charge, did not follow proper procedure.
Now, the Department of Education is investigating how Florida State handled the case.
It is also expected for the alleged victim to pursue civil action against Winston, the university and possibly the Tallahassee Police Department.
This case is far from over.
