Wimbledon: Kvitova dominates Bouchard in the Ladies Final
Petra Kvitova was able to capture her second Wimbledon title in less than three years. She took only an hour to defeat Eugenie Bouchard, in straight-sets 6-2, 6-0. It was one of the most dominate wins in the long history of Wimbledon.
Kvitova was a slight favorite to win but she simply did not make a single major mistake in winning and dominated a very talented Bouhard who many thought was a dark horse for an upset.
But that was not to be and Bouchard, the pride of Montreal Canada, with her family looking on never really got into the match. She told the BBC after the loss that I am proud of what I was able to do here over the two weeks and all credit to Petra, she was the better player by far today.
For Kvitova it was a great win as she spoke to the BBC, I want to thank my entire team, my family and all my fans. This is better than 2011 when I won that title, this time I was more prepared.
