Wilson Confronts Larry Baer After Giant’s Win Thursday

SAN FRANCISCO – It might have been Tim Lincecum’s final game as a Giant on Thursday, but the winning handshake line might be remembered for someone and something else.
Brian Wilson, wearing Dodger blue, took the extraordinary step of walking across the field after the Giants’ 3-2 victory, leaning over the railing and shouting at Giants CEO Larry Baer.
Wilson, still waiting to receive his 2012 World Series ring, was letting Baer know he wasn’t happy about it.
Though Wilson only appeared in two games for the 2012 World Series champions before reinjuring his right elbow and having Tommy John surgery, all players who spend any time on the roster in a championship season receive some version of the ring.
The Club vice president Staci Slaughter said several members of the organization, including Baer, manager Bruce Bochy and VP Bobby Evans, have tried to arrange a meeting with Wilson but their calls weren’t returned.
The Giants finally gave the ring to a Dodgers official on Thursday and asked that it be passed along to Wilson.
