Will Hill Officially Suspended: What’s Next?

A failed drug test could possibly cost New York Giants‘ safety, Will Hill, an entire season of play in the Meadowlands this year. With a suspension due to an illegal use of marijuana, ESPN New York took to their official Twitter account to break the news earlier this week:

Although Hill is in the process of appealing the suspension, the duration of the punishment is still unclear, especially considering this isn’t the first time he has failed a drug test. The increasingly notorious “bad boy” was suspended in 2012 for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy, citing that it was not an illegal substance but instead Adderall.

Hill was also suspended for the first four games last season for his illegal use of marijuana. According to a blog from the New York Daily News, a source revealed that the Giants organization is “livid” with the troubled athlete and regardless if Mr. Hill wins the appeal or not, his time in New York is most likely done. If Hill’s behavior continues in this downward spiral, his biggest concern will soon be finding a new source of employment.

The length of Hill’s suspension is still pending and it could prove to be a severe setback to the New York Giants, considering their secondary is shaping up as one of the league’s best. The team is already considering possible replacements for Hill if his suspension results in the athlete missing several games including: Miami’s Antrel Rolle, or Stevie Brown, who missed last season due to a torn ACL.
