What’s Wrong With The Starting Pitching Market?
As Yogi Berra once said, “it gets late early out there.”
That quote can easily be applied to the plethora of starting pitchers left on the market that have yet to sign with pitchers and catchers reporting in just a few weeks.
But I get it, there’s a Japanese phenom holding the current market hostage, and with close to every major league organization courting Masahiro Tanaka, there’s not a lot of time to make phone calls to the agents of Bronson Arroyo, Ubaldo Jimenez, Ervin Santana, and Matt Garza I suppose.
