The last time the Vikings had a young and talented QB with a strong arm behind center; the offense set multiple records; however, Daunte Culpepper isn’t walking through that door, Josh Freeman is.
Doug Farrar of SI.com believes Freeman has the tools necessary to take the Vikings’ offense to the next level:
“From a pure physical talent perspective, Freeman’s the most impressive quarterback the Vikings have had since [Brett] Favre, and offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is now tasked with getting the most out of him..”
The Vikings have found a way to score points this season despite the team’s limitations at quarterback, as Minnesota is currently ranked 10th overall, averaging 25 points per game. The area in which the Viking’s offense has struggled the most is stretching the field, and Freeman’s arm strength makes the Viking’s a threat to attack down field once again.
