Vikings Trade for Teddy Bridgewater

With the 32nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

How Sports Talk Florida sees the pick…

The Low-Down…

Bridgewater is a terrific competitor and he’s driven to succeed. He is always well-prepared and confident in his approach. NFL.com describes him as being able to operate a progression-read offense where he is asked to scan the whole field and help steer protections.

His footwork is very clean and always in rhythm. He gives a fluid delivery and has almost perfect timing. One key factor in his approach is his patience working through his reads and stepping up in the pocket.

Bridgewater is poised and he is very mentally and physically tough. —NFL.com points out that he plays like a coach on the field, since he knows the responsibilities of everyone on the field and can get teammates lined up correctly.
