Fox Sports will pay tribute to the men and women of the United States Military this Memorial Day weekend with a series of vignettes entitled “Warriors Among Us,” which will run across a variety of FOX Sports networks including FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports Regional Networks.

That means we will also be able to see them this weekend on both Fox Sports Florida and Sun Sports.

The vignettes begin airing on Friday, May 23, and continue through Memorial Day.  They can be seen during a variety of FOX Sports 1 studio programming, including FOX SPORTS LIVE, AMERICA’S PREGAME, MLB WHIPAROUND, and UFC 173 prefight and postfight shows on Saturday.  FOX Sports Regional Networks will televise them during local Major League Baseball coverage.

“Warriors Among Us” provides a glimpse into the personal lives of a select group of young soldiers who passed away, either giving their lives while serving in the military or who died tragically upon returning to civilian life.

Each vignette offers viewers brief biographical information, including the soldiers’ connection to sports, as well as photos depicting them before, during, or after their military service.

“We wanted to personalize these tributes to allow the audience to get to know them just little a bit,” said Mike Connelly, senior vice president and executive producer, FOX Sports Regional Networks.  “We wanted to put a face to a name and remind viewers that these heroes were exceptional in their service to our country, but in other ways were normal like everyone else.  Truly, warriors among us.”
