Last night both B.J. Upton and Justin Upton hit home runs, solo shots of Astros starter Scott Feldman.

The Upton brothers homered in the same game for the fourth time as teammates, tying a Major League record.

It was B.J. Upton’s seventh homer on the season, but he continues to struggle in his tenure with the Braves. This season he is hitting .203/.272/.337 with just 22 RBIs in 72 games.

His brother Justin hit his fifteenth home run and has well outperformed his brother. To this point in the season he has hit .271/.343/.504 with 39 RBIs in 70 games.

Over the first two seasons with the Braves, here’s how the Upton brothers compare:

B.J. – .192/.270/.309 with 24 doubles, 23 stolen bases, 16 hrs and 48 RBIs in 198 games.

Justin - .266/.350/.477 with 40 doubles, 15 stolen bases, 42 HRs and 109 RBIs in 219 games.
