Urlacher: I Dont Care About Fans, Media

When it was suggested after the 21-13 loss to the Packers that fans and media were critical of Lovie Smith, Urlacher went off on the lot of them.

Two of the people I dont care about: fans or media, Urlacher said, via the Chicago Tribune. They can say what they want to about our head coach, about our players. . . . It does bother me. They dont know what theyre talking about, obviously.

I know there are a lot of experts in the media, a bunch of smart guys out there who know exactly what theyre talking about all the time. They dont know what theyre talking about. Lovie is the head coach of this football team and hopefully will be for a long time.

Urlacher said the way Smith maintains composure during difficult times (without, you know, attacking his own fans) is one of the reasons he keeps the respect of players.
