Up Next for Emmanuel Sanders: 49ers
Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders isn't playing around this free agency period.
After visiting the Jaguars Wednesday, heheaded over to Tampa, then traveled toKansas CityFriday. His next destination -- San Francisco.
Aside from racking up some serious frequent flyer miles, the 26-year-old slot receiver possessing 4.40 speed is weighing his options carefully.
Sanders started 10 games for the Steelers last season, catching 67 passesfor a career-high 740 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He also averaged 26.8 yards on10 kickoffreturns, with a 24.78 career average.
Over the course of his career, he's seen action in 56 games, catching 161 passes on 278 targets for 2,030 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
Last season, hemade $2.5 million. With the Bucs still having roughly $8 - $12 million in cap space (likely in the $10 - $12 million range), it's still doable to sign him or someone of his caliber.
Is there still interest? He left Tampa without a deal in-hand, and the Bucs have not addressed wide receiver yet this free agency period.
Tampa Bay did host Ted Ginn Jr., whoinstead signeda three-year deal with the Cardinals Thursday.
