UCF Falls To Marshall 82-70
Coming off two road losses, UCF hoped to turn things around with a warm homecoming against rival Marshall Wednesday night. The Knights didn’t, however, falling to the Thundering Herd 82-70. It marks the third consecutive loss for UCF (17-9, 7-5 C-USA).
Marshall led for a majority of the game, going up by as much as 22 points in the second half. A late run by the Knights cut the deficit to eight, but it wasn’t enough.
Marshall (12-15, 5-7 C-USA) beat the Knights on the boards and shot more efficiently, out rebounding UCF 42-32 and shooting 54.2 percent from the field compared to 43.1 percent for UCF.
Isaiah Sykes recorded a double-double, finishing with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Keith Clanton was honored before the game for his all-time rebounding record at UCF. It was Clanton’s 124th appearance as he became the all-time leader in games played for the program.
