The Utah Jazz fought their way to a 97-93 victory over the Orlando Magic Sunday night at the Amway Center. The Magic lead by 16 points during the first half but turnovers caused Orlando’s lead to quickly disappear.

The Magic had 20 turn overs, which accounted for 22 of the Utah’s points. The Magic had a solid first quarter by scoring 30 points and limiting the Jazz to 18 points. Apart from the turnovers, the Magic played well defensively  throughout the game and made some key buckets down the stretch.

The Jazz also beat the Magic 87-81 during Orlando’s West Coast trip on Dec. 5 in Salt Lake City. During that game Nik Vucevic had his hands full with Al Jefferson who scored 31 points and recorded 15 rebounds. This time Vucevic limited Jefferson to 12 points and nine rebounds and put up his fifth double-double in the last six games with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

Gustavo Ayon started his first game with the Magic Sunday night after coming off the bench and recording a season best of 12 points and 13 rebounds against the Raptors.

The Magic have now lost two straight games and will look to break that steak when they host the New Orleans Hornets on Dec. 26 at 7 p.m.
