As soon as Medlock saw Turner had spent some time in the NFL as Peyton Manning’s position coach at Indianapolis, he knew that the Panthers’ new boss would be both a challenge and a resource for himself and the rest of the FIU signal-callers. Already, Medlock says he knows he’s gotten better and thinks the FIU offense could be a surprise in the Turner era.
The FIU job is Turner’s first as a collegiate head coach since his tenure at Illinois ended nearly a decade ago.
