Tuck: NBA All-Star Starters
Following the formula pushed forward by the NBA, I cast votes for 2 guards and 3 front-court players.
John Wall, Dwyane Wade LeBron James, Paul George, Joakim Noah
Wall is putting it all together and plays both ends of the floor and means more to his team right now than Kyrie Irving or Kyle Lowry. Wade hasn’t played as much as I’d like missing 11 games, but the the East is what it is as far as quality teams and talent. LeBron and George are no-brainers. Noah is the biggest reason the Bulls are at .500.
Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love
Curry is sensational and so is Lillard. Their individual greatness has stood out more than anyone else you’d bring up to argue over them I believe. The guards are quite honestly ridiculous in the West. Chris Paul would be a no-brainer if he hadn’t gotten hurt. Plus you have James Harden, Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, Mike Conley, Ty Lawson, Jrue Holiday, Goran Dragic, and Eric Bledsoe. You could make almost an entire team of back-court stars out West. There are plenty of good forwards and bigs that don’t make it as starters out West because having Durant, Aldridge and Love is the only thing that makes sense to me. Blake Griffin vs. Love is probably the only debatable decision even.
I will announce my reserves next week just ahead of when the NBA will announce them on January 30.
