Run, do not walk, to add these players if they are still available.
TE Julius Thomas, Broncos- He was drafted in many leagues, but if he is free in yours, add him. There is no reason he shouldn’t be owned. He is a little stiff running, but he is obviously tall as a former basketball player and Peyton showed trust in him in the preseason and that has carried over to the regular season. Not every week will be like last, but he will be worthy of starting most weeks.
WR Julian Edelman, Patriots- Danny Amendola is hurt (again). Aaron Dobson is hurt. Kembrell Thompkins saw a lot of balls, so he isn’t someone to dismiss just yet, but Brady trusts Edelman, and knows he can get open. Opportunity knocks.
QB Terrelle Pryor, Raiders- It won’t be pretty, but if you play in a 2-QB league, he could be what Tim Tebow was a couple of seasons ago in Denver. A guy that gives you rushing value at the QB spot, in addition to some passing . Tebow, fantasy-wise, was a top 10 QB because of those rushing totals, and Pryor is a much better runner. If he plays all year, he could be a middle of the pack QB in scoring.
RB Joique Bell, Lions- Reggie Bush had 2 TD’s overturned by replay, which Bell was able to cash in on, but even with that said, if the Bush owner in that league doesn’t have him, go get him. Reggie Bush already is dealing with a couple of nagging injuries and Bell is the clear back-up, catches passes, and gets some goal-line looks.
WR Andre Roberts, Cardinals- He is not exciting, but in a PPR league, he is going to be a constant factor because he is a big-part of a pass-heavy offense. He catches everything. He’ll probably produce at a top 40 WR level with Carson Palmer in there.
WR Percy Harvin, Seahawks- Add him now. He tweeted week 7. His surgeon said he is ahead of schedule. Make room on your bench.
WR Marlon Brown, Ravens- Baltimore wants to throw. Jacoby Jones is out for a month or longer. Brown had a nice preseason. He won’t be an exciting pick-up, but he could be an effective bye week fill-in.
RB Fred Jackson, Bills- He looked more lively and spry this week. He might wear down, but as long as Buffalo is going to play him, he has a chance to be in the mix as a flex play or a bye week fill-in.
