Tuck: Best Backup Quarterbacks In The NFL

Many teams don't have much of a difference between starter and backup. Heck, they are battling for jobs in the preseason in some of those cases. I purposely left those out. Instead I include situations that there is a clear-cut starter, but if he went down, they have a capable, proven backup that could keep the ship from going down...at least for a few weeks.

Dallas- Kyle Orton

Indianapolis- Matt Hasselbeck

Minnesota- Matt Cassel

Miami- Matt Moore

Detroit- Shaun Hill

Pittsburgh- Bruce Gradkowski

Yes, I think teams like New England, Denver, and Green Bay would be screwed, but not sure their backups are as bad as what these teams have.

Atlanta- Dominique Davis, Sean Renfree

Oakland- Terrelle Pryor, Matt McGloin, Tyler Wilson

Chicago- Josh McCown, Matt Blanchard

New Orleans- Luke McCown, Seneca Wallace

Arizona- Drew Stanton, Ryan Lindley
