Tuck: 2013 NBA Mock Draft #2

By Mike Tuck

At this point, just about every team picking high in the draft has been connected to some trade rumor.  Some teams are rumored to be willing to trade their pick for a veteran player while others are just looking to trade up or down.  The Magic were recently tabbed as a team looking to trade down in the draft.

One does wonder how far and who’d they target?  Perhaps one of the point guards?  What would they get in addition to moving down?  A future first round pick would be a big score, but maybe they’ll be able to dump a contract like Turkoglu’s or Harrington’s on them.

I take most reports with a grain of salt, but understanding all these teams are exploring their options.  This is not a very good draft, so it would be wise to look around and see what other teams are thinking.

The harder I look at this draft, the more size I see going off the board in what is an especially weak class for wings (shooting guards and small forwards).  Very soon I will give you my thoughts and rankings on this year’s class of players, but until then, take a look at how I see the draft unfolding in the first round.
