Top Line Helps Avalanche Take 2-0 Series Lead
The line of Nathan MacKinnon (1-3—4), Paul Stastny (1-3—4) and Gabriel Landeskog (2-0—2) combined for four goals and 10 points to power the Avalanche to a 2-0 series lead over the Wild.
MacKinnon has now scored seven points in his first two career playoff games, tying the NHL record held by Odie Cleghorn (MTL: 1919) and Barry Pederson (BOS: 1982).
MacKinnon also became the third 18-year-old in Stanley Cup Playoffs history to post a four-point game, the youngest player in Avalanche/Nordiques history to score a playoff goal, and the sixth-youngest player since 1979 to record a goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Important to note: Since relocating to Colorado for the 1995-96 season, the Avalanche are 12-0 when taking a 2-0 series advantage.
